What is on your bedside table? Is it something that inspires you?

On my bedside table is a clock radio (yes, I’m old-school), a book of meditations, and a journal book. I also have a lamp and humidifier but those are not important.

I use a clock radio to make sure I get up on time, the same time every morning 5:00 AM on the dot with the volume turned up or I can’t hear it. I also have a cat for that but again, that’s not important.

I have a book of meditations that I read because it allows me to take a moment and be “still” and be curious about my day. I have a journal on that same table so at the end of the day, or even in the middle of the day if I’m off, I’m able to write down some things that are important to me or what is bothering me. I also take time to what I call “brain dump”. This is a way to release all of the crazy things that may have happened during the course of one day. This book gives me a reflection on my own daily, weekly, and lifelong journey to who I want to be.

You see, when you do not keep a track of what it is you want out of life or how you are feeling at times, life can be very overwhelming, and you forget where you need to start.

Having a coach to help you sort through all of the craziness allows you to understand where you are right now, where you have been, and where you want to go. That my friends, is called personal development.

If you are interested in talking, I would be happy to speak with you. Visit my website www.kimjarvisco.com or email coachingwithkimj@gmail.com to set up a time now to discuss what’s on your bedside table.
