What is your favorite way to maintain your health? What is it that you do every day and focus on in order to maintain your health?

These are things we need to ask ourselves in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.

As a coach, when I work with clients, we find out what motivates them in the best way to keep them on track to a healthier self. It may seem daunting at first but when you sit and talk about just a couple little things that you can change, overtime it can make a huge impact in your life.

For me, I started with making sure I walked 45 minutes a day on either a machine or outside. I moved my arms and kept the pace that made me feel good and elevated my heart rate but not too much to be over exerted.  I also started making sure that I was drinking more water to make sure I was properly hydrated. It is recommended that you get 64 ounces of water per day or as I like to promote half of your body weight each day in ounces of water. That means if you weigh 150 pounds you should aim for 75 ounces of water per day.

Another thing I did to keep track of staying healthy was I wrote down what I ate for an entire week. I wrote down the good stuff and the bad stuff (which was a lot a first) in order to track if I was staying true to myself with what I wanted to achieve. P.S. I fell off the wagon quite a few times, but it finally stuck.

You will be surprised at how quickly those habits become normal everyday activities once you see the changes starting to happen with your body. And they will happen sooner than later.

If you are ready to talk about how you’re keeping track of your health or not, please visit my website www.kimjarvisco.com or email coachingwithkimj@gmail.com and we can set up a time to discuss how you can become a healthier person and find out what your favorite way to do that may be. You may just surprise yourself.
